Here are a few of the things we've been up to lately.

1984 Toyota Land Cruiser

Flushed brake system

Flushed entire brake system with high quality Brembo DOT4 brake fluid. Replaced all caps for bleeder valves.

Flushed entire clutch hydraulic system with high quality Brembo DOT4 brake fluid. Replaced cap for bleeder valve.

1995 Land Rover Defender

Change oil and filter

Changed engine oil. Replaced filter with high quality Mahle brand. Replaced drain plug gasket with a new Dowty seal.

1995 Land Rover Defender

Flushed brake system

Completely flushed brake system. Refilled with high quality Brembo DOT4 fluid. Replaced bleeder caps with new ones.

Flushed clutch hydraulics

Completely flushed clutch hydraulic system. Refilled with Brembo DOT4 fluid. Replaced bleeder cap with a new one.

Replaced fuel filter

Replaced fuel filter with a high quality Mahle filter and purged air from system. Checked contents of old filter and it was perfectly clear with no debris or contaminants.

1991 Land Rover Defender

Changed engine oil and filter

Drained engine oil. Installed high quality Mahle filter. Installed new crush washer on drain plug. Refilled engine with Mobil oil.

Replaced diesel fuel filter

Replaced diesel fuel filter with a new high quality Mahle filter. Purged air from fuel system.

Checked brake fluid

Brake fluid checked to be good.

1982 Toyota Land Cruiser

Coolant Temperature Sender

Replaced coolant temperature sender with a new high quality Facet brand unit.

2018 Volkswagen Passat

Oil Change

As part of the 20k service, we changed the oil with German Liqui-Moly full synthetic that meets all VW standards. We replaced the filter with one from the German OEM supplier. We installed a new drain plug to ensure there would be no drips.

Engine Air Filter

As part of the 20k service, we replaced the engine air filter with one from the German OEM supplier.

Cabin Pollen Filter

As part of the 20k service, we replaced the cabin pollen filter with an activated charcoal unit from the German OEM supplier.

Tire Rotation

As part of the 20k service, we rotated the tires front to rear to maintain even wear. Re-tightened all wheel lug bolts to VW specification.

Checks and Inspections

Checked fluid levels and inspected all components as specified in the VW maintenance schedule. Topped off windshield washer fluid. All other checks were fine. Checked main battery with tester. Passed with no issues.

1986 Citroen 2CV

Carburetor Rebuild

The float needle valve was sticking a little, so we ultrasonic cleaned and rebuilt the entire carburetor. It's been spared the ravages of ethanol fuel its whole life, and as a result that carburetor was like new inside.
