This is a great bus to drive and enjoy just as it is, or you could continue to make improvements to whatever level you like.

It looks like it had a quicky respray a few years ago, but they didn’t do the greatest job.

The engine is a VW remanufactured unit that just received a TOTAL rebuild including:
New cylinder heads (with new valves, springs, etc.) upgraded to 1800cc
New pistons and cylinders upgraded to 1800cc
Crankshaft and rods beautifully refurbished by a VW machine shop
Rebuilt original carburetors
New correct mechanical fuel pump
New pushrod tubes
Remanufactured alternator and new primary wire with added inline fuse
New muffler
New carrier bar mounts
Of course all new bearings, gaskets, seals, spark plugs, belt, hardware, oil pressure switch, hoses, etc.
Every component was meticulously cleaned and all engine tin bead-blasted and repainted
